Guides on emulating older applications

This was one of the first Mp3 DJ applications that let you scratch and mix music in realtime.

"The Tactile12000 puts a full set of DJ gear on your desktop - it is a 3-D, fully interactive, digital DJ setup - two turntables and a mixer. You can crossfade, backspin, and speed up and slow down music, including MP3 files, on your computer. The first version, the Tactile 1200, was featured in the October 1995 issue of URB magazine, the March 1996 issue of Wired and the May 1996 issue of i-D. This version adds support for loading music from your hard drive, playlist management and automatic mixing, cueing on headphones, keyboard control, and more precise control of the mixer and turntables."

Architecture: PPC

Macintosh: MacOS 7.5 or newer (OS 8 or newer recommended), PowerPC (G3/G4 or iMac recommended for best performance). QuickTime and Sound Manager extensions required. QuickTime 4.0 required for MP3 playback.
