Guides on emulating older applications

Symantec Utilities for Macintosh includes a bunch of recovery and backup programs, and is a very useful thing to have. One of its most useful functions that I have found is the ability to recover files from an unreadable disk. This is a set of Disk Copy 4.2 images created from the original disks.

Note that the installer is on disk 2, not disk 1 as you would expect.

Added Symantec Tools 1.00 from 1989 and
"Understanding Hard Disk Management on the Macintosh" from 1989 with Symantec Tools instructions.

Disks discovered, cleaning up.

I don't have the disks no more, but this is the complete set of tools.
Probably the most powerful recovery software for the Mac ever. Works with OS8 and 9 to a certain extent.
Real miracles can be done with these utilities but:
Please don't use this software, unless you are absolutely sure what you are doing.

This is broken. I'll re-upload my set, eventually.
