Emulation
This app works with: SheepShaver,

ISO image file of SoftWindows 2.0. This includes Windows 3.1 and DOS 6.22, an 80386 80486 emulator. This one is very rare to find, always a good gem for the Macintosh users.

Serial:
2500-6666-2112-1492
2500-0004-1485-1139

The third download above is the alpha version of SoftWindows 2.0a17. Very hard to find, it has some limited functionality.

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC

PowerPC only, but no 68K compatibility. Version 1.0.2 is an 68k application, but it is reported to be very slow.

Found this one for Soft Windows v2.0, but I never tried:
2000-0100-5122-0594
No idea either, whether 2.0a would work with it.

Works great in SheepShaver with OS 7.5.3! I can actually play DOOM!

Thanks Mike, I may give it another try with OSX.
As you said, proof of concept, if any.
I have some WIN flavors in VMs anyway. Smile

Can someone confirm it running in SheepShaver?

I can, 24bit.

Tho' my test was on 32bit Windows XP, SheepShaver, Old World ROM, Mac SSW 7.5.3

If SoftWin 2's Win 3.1 install is going to work at all, you need to set SheepShaver's display to the recommended settings in the SoftWindows Read Me doc. Before you attempt to launch Win 3.1

I set my Shaver display to 256 colors and SoftWin 2 to 800 x 600 and was able to get it to boot up to that OK.

Its not what I would call stable on SheepShaver (its clock resets to 1980 with each boot on mine). I did have a couple of false starts & crashes but nothing was unrecoverable. I wouldn't like to regularly use this on Shaver, except as a "proof of concept" exercise. I've added a screenshot of it running on Shaver, above.

The app does not work with SheepShaver here. OSX 10.6 to 10.8, neither 32bit nor 64bit.
It not only crashes SS, but also leaves the system volume unbootable. Some Preferences are badly messed up, I guess.

DOS does work though in 32bit mode, WIN seems to be a no-go.

Can someone confirm it running in SheepShaver?

I have uploaded the SoftWindows 2.0 alpha after four years without uploading them. However, I can't find an exact serial for this, using the final serial number doesn't work.
