This is a must-have for anyone trying to run OS X on older Mac hardware (like G3s, earlier G4s). It does exactly what it says: it kills all shadows in Mac OS X (including window shadows, menu shadows, and so on). This noticeably speeds up Mac OS X on older computers.
Double-click the app icon and the shadows will be gone. Double click again and they'll return.
For ease of use you may want to make it a Startup Item.
This is a universal binary and should run on almost anything. It has been tested working with machines on 10.2, 10.3, 10.4 and 10.5.

@SkyCapt I will edit the page so that is says:

Works for my OSX 10.2 and probably will work 10.1
I rename my file to "ShadowToggle" = less gruesome.
