The predecessor to MediaTracks, ScreenRecorder lets you create movies of your actions on your Mac. It does not record sound or have the ability to add voiceover tracks. Those would come with MediaTracks.

ScreenRecorder consists of an INIT (system extension) and a Desk Accessory that lets you create a continuous tape of the activity on your Macintosh. The tape can then be stored on disk or transferred to another Macintosh and played back at a later time. ScreenRecorder is not a macro; It is more like a camcorder. Once you've made a tape using any application, you can play it back without the application being present. This software can be used to make desktop presentations or demonstrate products. (Adapted from the Product Description)

Downloads 1 & 2 are for version 1.0

Download 3 is for Version 2.0, released in 1990, and forms part of MediaTracks. It contains the files needed for a manual install of ScreenRecorder 2.

Version 1 originally came on an Install disk and a Tour disk. Download #2 expands to a folder containing what appears to be the contents of both these disks (minus the System Folder that I would expect on the Install Disk). Ignore the installer application and use the included folder of files to be manually installed into the System Folder instead. Note the Serial Number (4142772849) in the second screenshot.

Architecture: 68k

Tested with System 6.08
