For Mac OS X
Emulation
Guides on emulating older applications

Nice little utility for obtaining the Burst (not necessarily real-world) burst read and burst write speeds of any mounted Volume except not read-only volumes.

Compare the speeds of your storage drives, anywhere from Jaguar to Lion, PPC to Intel. Has options for measuring effectiveness of cache mem within drive units.

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC x86 (Intel:Mac)

Works in OSX 10.2.8 and maybe older,
Works upto OSX 10.7 and maybe more.
v4.0.5

The declared OS range was Tiger 10.4 thru Lion 10.7 in which case SSD tests are working, as are in 10.3 and 10.2 also.

I learned that my PowerMac G4 Tiger on SSD PAIR striped RAID is a lot better than I thought; I used to believe it almost wasn't worth the "trouble" beyond any solo SSD there.

This is great for benchmarking USB thingys, learn which devices are "hot" vs which are "not".

The app is still working with 10.14 Mojave, alas not with SSD system volumes where it triggers a "permission denied" error.
USB sticks do work and the read performance is matching the USB-2 speed.
