Prototyper is useful for quick and easy application mock-ups, but it's more useful as an instructional tool — generating the code for a window, for example, and then examining it to learn about it. Prototyper's code is a little too sparse to qualify it as a useful automatic application generator, but it's still a fascinating and informative tool to help you learn Mac programming.
— MacUser, reviewing version 2.0 in August 1989
The 1st archive is version 3.0 from 1990.
The 2nd archive is version 2.1 from 1989. It is a StuffIt 1.51 compressed copy of an installed folder.
The 3rd archive is the original version 1.0 in a DC42 image compressed with StuffIt 1.5.1 software. Note: this image is locked, so, it mounts fine with System 7, not System 6 inside Mini vMac. It can be copied, however, on another disk for use also with System 6.

This was a competitor to AppMaker. I chose to buy AppMaker over Prototyper because it offered more code generation options and had a UI that was easier to use.
AppMaker evolved into a subscription product. The last "monthly" update ended in 2000. I put the word monthly in quotes because it never actually got to coming out that frequently.
AppMaker is available on MG.

Added Prototyper 2.1. Temporarily removed because it has the nVIR A virus. I will clean it and repost shortly.
