This app works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II, Mini vMac

PixelPaint was a simple art and painting program available for the early Macintosh. It was the first full-color paint application for that platform.

Architecture: 68k

Must switch to 256 color bit-depth or lower prior to launching application (no automatic color switching).

PixelPaint was definitely an interesting little program. Apparently there are spiral bound manuals out there for its various versions that would be neat to find. There are also several reviews of it in some old mags that can be found on Google.

Have included a review of PixelPaint (Manual Link above) which I've scanned from the "Australian Personal Computer", May 1988 (Macintosh Supplement).

Edit (November 2014): I've moved the PixelPaint review to the PixelPaint 1.0 page, which is a recent addition and the correct version of PP for the review.
