Architecture: PPC

Version 5.5 requires Mac OS 7.6.1 or newer + QuickDraw 3D (not included).
Version 6.5 requires Mac OS 8.6 or newer + QuickDraw 3D & OpenGL system software (included).

Installs OK to SheepShaver but crashes the System badly when attempting to run the LightWave program (5.5 & 6.5). So at this point in time - not suitable for SheepShaver.

I can confirm that version 6.5 works fine on PowerMac G4 running MacOS 9.2.2, installed 5.6 first and then upgraded to 6.5 and applied the crack (no need to install Dongle simulator)

Seems like the last contributor, @FRworld, has added more versions past 6.5 in this page? (8.5, 9.0.0, 9.2.0?)

I think I hadn't come across an MG page that needed as desperately some form of maintenance and sorting as this one (mainly download descriptions would be excellent).

But before that, and while on the subject of all LightWave 3D software...
Does anyone know what were the latest versions of this software product line for all the main Mac versions? Mainly Mac OS 68k/PPC and Mac OS X PPC/Intel. seems to host a lot of versions, for anyone curious.

Maybe it would be better to make separate pages for the v5.5 and v6.5.

@devils_advisor: The 6.5 update installer appears to update from version 5.5 upwards OK - which is I think why the original author of this page (ozzy2004) included the full 5.5 install set along with the 6.5 update.

Works quite well on the beige G3 I installed this to, when testing the installation instructions mentioned above.

This installer is a updater. I have version 6,7 and 8 and in order to get a use out of it the 6 is needed.

No, LightWave6.5_final.sit is NOT broken at all! And it shouldn't be thrown away until we get the full installation CD image. And it's not just an update.

In order to get the installer of 6.5 (from LightWave6.5_final.sit) to work, you need to create the "Plugins" folder in the desired installation folder before running the installer. For example your desired folder would be "HardDrive:Newtek", so, I repeat before running the installer, in the root of your HardDrive you need to create "Newtek" folder and inside it "Plugins" folder. Then the installer should work. It will rename your newly created folder to "Plugins(old)". Stupid VISE installer =)))

Then you can apply the LightWave_6.5_k.sit and the LW 6.5 WILL work.

It's really not coplete, it is missing the Content =) But it is totally usable!

You can throw that 6.5 update out. I did the whole thing and it involves the image like with c4d to update it. I moved up to version 7 to get away from it.

LightWave_5.6_k.sit and LightWave_6.5_k.sit are only cracks for the full programs.
You have uploaded the program LightWave 6.5. Will you upload the full program for LightWave 5.6, too ?
