This app works with: SheepShaver,

The Mutatron v1.0b2

This is an app to handle and edit 3DMF objects.
3DMF was a file format of QuickDraw 3D which was abandoned by Apple in 1998.
Personally I was thinking that Apple had a killer app when I first saw 3DMF objects - oh well.

Architecture: PPC

Likes to crash a lot. Wink

Yeah names can be an issue.
Do you know the Spanish meaning for the Mitsubishi Pajero? Wink
I recall the Fokker F27 Friendship (a reliable small turbo prop) though I never had a trip to ZRH "Kloten" with one.
A non official Spanish nudist beach on SPC was called "Las Pelotas" easy to guess, same as Kloten.

Yeh, there's a movie named Meet The Parents where the parents are complaining "If she marries him, then her name will become Martha Fokker" ...

In the OS 9.2 "System Folder/Scrapbook File" are 4 more 3DMF's which I think you haven't added to the collection. The scrapbook by default, maybe a little hidden, has 14 preinstalled items of picture, sound, text, and these 4 models: oldtime radio, palm tree, gameroom dart, and (presumably a number-two...) pencil. I extracted them into their own 3DMF files, maybe with ResEdit? or clipboard?

Thanks for the pointer! I did not realise the models are included in subfolders.
Now lets put a pterosaur on a Gerbils track immediately! Smile
Did you think of ...MF in the Oedipus sense? Never would have figured that.

Perhaps 3DMF was doomed by just being named "..MF" Puzzled
Like I can't help but think "StuffIt" grew out-of-favor with the OSX design team, by just having that name. Things could've ended up so differently for these guys if they'd only put more forethought into their naming.

Speaking of QD3D and 1998, "Nanosaur" was an open source game touting QD3D and the Nanosaur characters are 3DMF models found in a subdirectory. The stegosaur and the pterosaur are a couple nice ones. The game Nanosaur must've been a kind of last ditch promotion for QD3D pending its demise. Nanosaur was written by Brian Greenstone, same guy who wrote "Gerbils!" Apple's debut QD3D demo toy, 1995.
