Guides on emulating older applications

MOTU's Performer was the predecessor of Digital Performer and was a major player in the music sequencing world of the 1980s and early '90s, competing directly with the likes of Opcode's Vision. Originally released in 1985, Performer would receive a number of updates over the years, with version 6 being the final release before subsequently becoming "Digital Performer" (due to added support for digital samples).

Performer's companion software was MOTU's Professional Composer, often called MOTU Composer.
