Mosaic NetScape employed many of the original Mosaic authors; however, it intentionally shared no code with Mosaic, a legal right from the (makers of NCSA Mosaic), led to the name Netscape Navigator

The new Internet navigator, was developed by Silicon Graphics founder Jim Clark and NCSA Mosaic creator Marc Andreessen they put a team consisting of many of those who had worked on Mosaic as well as others who had created the first-generation browsers. and developed the famous Netscape browser and server products.

The ability of the Netscape team to introduce new versions of the browser every three months set a frenzied pace for development. Almost immediately from its first release, Netscape Navigator was the driving force not just for the browser but for Web development.

Mosaic NetScape provide continuous document streaming, enabling users to interact with documents while they are still being downloaded rather than waiting for the entire document to load.
Multiple, simultaneous network accesses, allowing several documents or images to
be downloaded simultaneously.
Native support for the JPEG image format.

Mosaic Netscape requires OS 7 and an 020 processor. It will not run on
a Mac Plus, SE, Classic, or Powerbook 100.
It will run on an SE/30, Classic II, other Powerbooks, and any Mac II-series machine. It will also run on Power Macintoshes. It does not require a color monitor, but at least 256 colors are very much recommended.
