This app works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II,

German version of Microsoft Word 6.0 taken from the MS Select App Pool CD2 / German.

This is for anybody wanting to try the worst Word for Mac in German.
Word for Mac and Word for PC share most of the code with this release and where thus hard to bear for the Mac community back in the days - things looking just like they did in Windows - disgusting! Wink
Even more, Word 6 was reportedly full of bugs with the Mac version.

Top DL: is the installer set for 68k and PPC, a fat binary may be created too.

2nd DL: is the preinstalled app for 68k.

Architecture: 68k PPC

This is for anybody wanting to try the worst Word for Mac in German.

For me "back in the day", I actually quite liked the Word 6 experience as opposed to a loud voice coming from the Macintosh community. My Mac at the time was a Quadra 630, a low-end '040 Mac and Word 6 performed great on it, I thought. Plus, I didn't find the look to be "un-Mac-like" at all.

I couldn't see what the fuss was all about. But I suppose it was due to more seasoned Mac users than me who had long used Word 5 that were making the biggest noise. They didn't like what was perceived to be bloat and Word 5 was lean and mean in comparison.

I just thought it was highly configurable with a load of features that could be turned off or on as suited.
