Menuette replaces menu titles (such as File and Edit) with colorful, animated icons. Menuette also allows you to change the font of menu items, and even gives you WYSIWYG Font menus.

Whether you suffer from a crowded menu bar on a too-small screen, you want to see what your fonts look like before you use them, or you just want your Mac to look awfully cool, Menuette's the solution. In fact, it was awarded a perfect five-mouse score in a ZDNet review, and CNET called it "the ideal utility for PowerBook users".

Menuette 3.0.1 improves compatibility with Font Reserve and other font utilities, working around a conflict that could cause slow menu drawing. It also avoids cosmetic conflicts with RAM Charger and iTime. In addition, it's now possible to permanently turn off the drawing of icons in the menu bar, allowing the program to be used only for the menu font features. A complete list of changes is included in the documentation.

Menuette 3.0.1 was the final version.

A few user-contributed icons still survive here (save the GIFs straight from the web browser).
