I have quite a lot of Python stuff, though I'm fairly certain that I'm missing some bits and bobs here and there that would complete my archive
Oh, how nice!
You actually had GUSI-for-MacPython222.sit, @fogWraith?!
You just saved the day!
Now we can back up the MacPython source code with confidence!
I'm confused about the 1st download (MacPython 2.3.5): where was it sourced from? The linked pages here seem to show only 2.3.3 as the latest.
Edit: Nevermind, found it under the "preproduction"/"beta" categories, rather than "downloads".
https://homepages.cwi.nl/~jack/macpython/beta.html
There, you can get ver. 2.3.5, as well as its source code, which we should have backed up here someday, as well.
Edit 2: Even if we back up the source code, it seems we won't be able to compile it without more digging to find a missing module:
The 68k version is also (again) available directly from the project's webpage:
https://homepages.cwi.nl/~jack/macpython/downloads/old/
I have uploaded the software version 2.2.3 from 3371-Alpha.
https://web.archive.org/web/20050204221017/http://ftp.cwi.nl/jack/python...
The macbinary archive of 1.5.2 downloads OK
Looking for the 68K version, MacPython 1.5.2. The link above mentions that it is available from the Downloads page of that site, but it's not listed on the downloads page (http://homepages.cwi.nl/~jack/macpython/macpython-older.html). Anyone have it?
thanks for the upload
