Set of disk images of the System install disks which had shipped with the Macintosh LC 630 DOS Compatible. This Mac included a 486 DX2 Intel CPU on a daughter card enabling it to run DOS and Windows programs natively as well as Macintosh software. Shipped in 1995 just before Microsoft released Windows 95, it included System Software 7.5, DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.1

Top DL: System Software 7.5, DOS Compatibility Installer version 1.0.5 for Mac and PC environment, DOS version 6.22 and Windows 3.1 in Disk Copy 4.2 image file format. Archived as Disk Copy 6.3 HFS ".img" in a StuffIt 5.5 ".sit" compressed file. Extracted, this image file is also ISO-9660 compliant (can be burned to CD if desired).
MD5 checksum: 6eec5eced4c24f85e8f5ad35e01ab7e6 *LC630-DOS-Compatibility-img.sit

2nd DL: DOS Compatibility install disk version 1.0.5, DOS version 6.22 and Windows 3.1 install disks in WinImage disk image format. Supplied for those who may prefer images of the DOS install in a native DOS format. If unpacking under a classic Mac OS, use MacZip only (to preserve File Type info). This will allow you to use Disk Copy 6.x to mount or write these files to floppy media via a classic system.

i wonder if it works to run win95 osr2!

Yep, no problem with Win 95 OSR2 (& upgrade of DOS Compatibility software to v1.6.4).

i was watching a video on this system last night where the user demonstrated that they made the LC 630 Dos compatible able to cut + paste clipart from Mac OS program, into a dos/windows 3.0 app (via DDE?) i found that quite interesting!!! such a rare beast to actually be able to run windows 3.1/mac os 7 at the same time.... with native 486/68k cpu processing, i wonder if it works to run win95 osr2!

@dr.zeissler: Hi, I have at one point owned both 7" & 12" PCI DOS cards - But they were purchased 2nd hand and without included software. I used the 1.6.4 Compatibility software with both (IIRC).

However, I think it is likely the issue you have with a MIDI interface to the 630 was never enabled or fixed (i.e.; it's hardware related). I think your experiments in this area point towards that.

I could not find the remarks for the MIDI issue in the 1.6.4 Version of the Software.
Is it fixed through 1.02 ? or in 1.5 ? Thx Doc

The Two CD's for the PCI-Cards (7"-12" P100->P166) would be very nice too Smile
