For Mac OS X
Guides on emulating older applications

Java implementation of a Hotline Server. Works with Mac OS X (currently using with OS X 10.11). Coded by Uberfox, the developer who created the Pitbull Client and Server Hotline clone. This is the last beta version as far as I know, and further development on this has been abandoned. That being said, it is pretty stable, and is great for OS X to OS 9 networking - I have found it to be one of the easiest and most reliable protocols for file sharing.

On the server end, put symbolic links of the target folders or drives you want to share in the 'files' folder of the server.

Architecture: x86 (Intel:Mac)

Tested and working on OS X El Capitan.

I can confirm this doesn't work with Mac OS X 10.4.11 PPC, even with JDK 1.6-dp1 installed. I did not test it with OpenJDK 1.7 on Leopard, however, in case anyone might want to give that a try.
