iDock installation software for Mac OS 8 and Mac OS 9. The iDock (original, from 1999) manual states it is compatible with Mac OS 8.1 or later. The iDock-2 (released in 2000) manual recommends Mac OS 8.6 or later, and says "for iMac DV (350MHz or higher) with 8.6, Upgrading to OS 9 is highly recommended".

CompuCable's iDock came in two original models. Model 1 featured a 3-port USB hub, two Geo Port serial ports, and a 25-pin PC parallel port. The iDock-2 featured a 4-port USB hub, two Geo Port serial ports, an ADB port, and an internal floppy disk drive. Both feature a swivel base designed for the iMac.

• Download 1 "iDock Installer 1.1.2" is an updated version of the iDock software for either model of the dock.

• Download 2 "iDock Setup CD-ROM.img.sit" is the original CD for the first iDock model. This disc has no version number.

• Download 3 "iDock Installer iDock-2.toast" is the original CD image for the iDock-2 model. This disc is labeled 1.1.1.

The iDock requires external power. The iDock (original) is powered by a +6v / 2000 mA power brick. The iDock-2 is powered by a +6v / 3000 mA power brick.

Very nice! What is your experience using them?

I own both of these products and have uploaded the original CD for both the iDock and iDock-2. The original printed manual for the iDock-2 is included on the CD image, but I've also uploaded it as a piece of documentation. I am working to scan in the iDock (original) manual.
