Guides on emulating older applications

Perhaps the first real notification system for OS X, predating the Notification Center by at least 3 years.
Version uploaded here are for pre Lion (10.7). 1.2.2 is for Leopard/Snow Leopard. 1.1.6 is for 10.4 Tiger and .7.6 is for Panther.

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC x86 (Intel:Mac)

1.2.1 is included mostly for compatibility as some of 1.2.2's included apps are intel only rather than UB.

You can't always guarantee that a web page and download will be there forever, so it wouldn't be a bad idea

I'm debating weather or not I should upload more growl stuff from their old project page, or more accurately, weather the stuff would be useful.

I spend weeks looking for the last (snow) leopard compatible version of growl mail only to find that it was available on the growl project page! *sigh*

This was a great app back in it's day. It integrated with a bunch of stuff but I used it for iTunes and Last.fm
