Deluxe Music Construction Set is a composition, notation, and playback program. An Amiga version also exists. It is more advanced than the Music Construction Set, which was released for the Commodore 64, Apple II Series, and the Atari 8-bit and ST Series, and was also published by Electronic Arts.
DL #1 contains Disk Copy 4.2 images of the two 400k disks (application and music instruments) for v. 2.0. The application disk contains a System Folder (System v. 3.2 & Finder v. 5.3)
DL #2 contains v. 2.5 in a folder.

This looks great! Never used it back in the day, seems much easier to use than Studio Session. Does anyone know anything about the instrument format and if it's possible to edit them or make new ones? Can't open them in SoundEdit but anyway it sounds more like they're synthesised than sample-based...
EDIT: instrument files are type "UVOX" creator "UHRU". opening them in BBEDIT on a modern mac gives me some messed up data gibberish with things like "slow attack" and "tremolo" scattered about, maybe hackable
Nice pict, but the question is: Is it save to hold it, regarding E(lektronischer) A(bfall) ?
Sorry, I couldn't find the folder that you described, Tvanier. This isn't to say that it doesn't exist, it's just that I don't have it. Maybe someone else out there could lend a hand.
Great to see Deluxe Music here, but it's not complete: there should be another folder with instrument sounds and example files &c. I wonder if the provider could upload these, too?
I remember this one, used it on a Macintosh Classic first, later on a PowerBook 145b, until I installed Mac OS 7.5, which brokes this application.
Edit: Replaced 'xxx 7' by 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User
