The following description is an excerpt taken from the "About this CD-ROM" Readme:

What’s on the Color StyleWriter CD-ROM?

• Installer: Click the "Install Printer Software" to install the software required for printing to a Color StyleWriter 4500.
• Disk Images: Inside the Printer Software folder are floppy disk images for producing copies of the Color StyleWriter 4500 printer software. Use the "Floppy Disk Maker" found in this folder to create floppy disks that can be used to install the printer software on Mac OS systems that do not have a CD-ROM drive.
• Software Collection Folder: This folder contains the installers for the software outlined below.

What’s in the Software Collection folder?

The following application programs are included in the Software Collection folder:

• PictureWorks' PhotoEnhancer Plus for Apple: Makes photo editing fun.
• Mindscape's PrintMaster Gold: Create banners, greeting cards, and more.
• Kaetron's Stencil It! and Web It!: Create party maps, landscape designs, and even your own Internet web page.
• Nova's Art Explosion Sampler: Choose from 1,000 clip art and photo images.
• Bitstream Fonts: Enhance your projects with an extra 24 TrueType fonts.
• PrintShop Deluxe Preferences: Use these preferences to enable banner printing for PrintShop Deluxe user's.

Software Application Notes

If you have problems printing from a specific application, it may be a problem in that application.
We recommend that you read the ReadMe that came with each application.

PhotoEnhancer Plus for Apple (PictureWorks)

PhotoEnhancer doesn’t open compressed TIFF images. To use a compressed TIFF image
in PhotoEnhancer, try opening it with another application, then copy and paste it into a PhotoEnhancer document. For more information, contact PictureWorks.

Stencil It! & Web It! (Kaetron)

Shapes created using the Polygon tool will print only on the first page of a multipage document. For more information contact Kaetron.

Some Installers also install PowerPC based Software.

Requires

• a Mac OS–based computer with a 68030/33 MHz or higher central processing unit (CPU), any Macintosh model except a Macintosh Plus, II, SE, IIsi, IIci, Classic®, Portable, or PowerBook 100
• Macintosh Operating System (Mac OS) version 7.1 or a later version
  m at least 4 megabytes (MB) of random-access memory (RAM) for a non- Power Macintosh; if you have a Power Macintosh, 8 MB of RAM is the minimum requirement, and 16 MB is recommended
• at least 8 MB of space available on your hard disk for the printer software

Another recent eBay find.

For me, the following software won't run in Sheep (or Mac OS 9, respectively) :
Stencil It (crashes) , PrintMaster ("due to an error") ,
Runs in Sheep: PictureWorks
Runs in Bas: Stencil It
