@OS923: Thanks for checking. Pity, as this is not the case for the IE/Australia/NZ distribution of this that I'd purchased when new (now archived here at the MG). It has full Mac/Win install sets. - Perhaps has some bearing: My copy was a Competitive Upgrade release (requiring some other similar product to be installed before it will install).

With my CWks copy was bundled (on separate CD) Claris Home Page 2, also a hybrid Mac/Win release.

Win version of CWks 5 (Dutch) is not included on the original CD.

It also looks as tho' only the Mac part of the hybrid was saved into the .sitx here, too

The 2nd DL above, "ClarisWorksOffice5NL.toast_.sitx" expands OK on OS X... There appears to be an ISO9660 partition, but once mounted, it contains only Claris Demo apps for Windows Sad (no CWks 5 demo tho').

The full Win version of CWks 5 (Dutch) is missing. If it was included on the original CD?

Yes please, saving in the faster compression format to save output as ".sit" not ".sitx" is preferable for classic archives. - Zip compression even better for hybrid .iso's.

It also looks as tho' only the Mac part of the hybrid was saved into the .sitx here, too, as the archive's file size is the same as the Top DL's 84.x MB. The file size for an archived hybrid copy I would expect to be 120 to 130 MB, similar in file size to the hybrid IE copy of CWks 5 here at the MG.

I've looked at the archive with unar, which reports:

D:\Test>unar -k hfv "ClarisWorksOffice5NL.toast_.sitx"
ClarisWorksOffice5NL.toast_.sitx: StuffIt X
Archive parsing failed! (Attempted to read more data than was available.)
No files extracted.

"Attempted to read more data than was available." - The file reports what data should be there but isn't, so unar gives up at that point.

Thanks, but .sitx means you can only unstuff it with recent StuffIt versions.

The options of StuffIt offer to save in "older" format which would be the true selection.

Thanks for archiving this version:

     Re: registration

Undocumented feature:
Registration for all Claris applications are optional, not required (1)
Enter a user-name & leaving the serial field alone as it comes (as in this copy, "Zie regstratiekaart") then simply clicking "OK" to begin using the software, works just as well.

(1) exception: Claris FileMaker Pro version 4.0

Also:
If this CD copy was anything like my CD copy of CWks 5 (International English version) it would have been a hybrid Mac/PC CD (see 2nd DL here). If so, can you please add the full hybrid CD image to this page? Thanks.
