Thank you very very much.
A better reading now...
Done.
Someone knows how to clear the amended stuff?
@sheepmyshaver123: Many thanks for locating this software and putting it up. I can't wait to DL it. - I'm on holidays and bandwidth is so restrictive that even the few MBs that this is, is way too much right now

I'll be DL'ing it as soon as I get some proper internets again, I can't wait[Edit] Its excellent. Thank you for locating this for upload.
Cheers

I have the installer of ClarisImpact 2.0v2. The file has been uploaded.
Thanks for checking it out IIGS_User. I've added it to the post now.
Hi Protocol 7, your preinstalled copy of 68k version 2.0 runs fine with Mini vMac, System 6, Basilisk, Mac OS 7.5 and SheepShaver, Mac OS 9.0
Here's a preinstalled copy of 2.0 which NativeChecker says is 68k-only. I haven't tried it out yet to confirm if it does run on 68k so I'm just going to leave it as a comment until I know for sure.
Same here. I purchased 2.3 when it came out, but what got me started with HC was the "magic" edition of the HC 2.1 Player which came with the Mac OS 7.0 install disks. Called the "magic" edition because if you went to the last card of the home stack and typed magic into the Message window, on hitting the Return key the Player became a full application with all 5 user levels activated
That all ended when Claris took over HC and re-released the 2.1 Player sans magic feature.
FileMaker Pro 3 I'm still using. Especially on Basilisk II.
When FMP 3 came out here it arrived on floppy disks, a few weeks later all of the accompanying Solutions, Tutorials and sundry files came out on a CD which I think you needed to send away to Claris for. They soon afterwards started turning up in computer swap meets etc. Anyway, not until years later for some reason I put this CD into a PC. To my surprise there was a hybrid partition on the CD with the full Windows install of FMP 3! No mention of this on the CD or to my knowledge anywhere else. Cool - I loaded it up onto my PC as well
Edit: Replaced 'xxx 7' by 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User
Aside from ClarisWorks and HyperCard (still my favourite app of all time), I've had all the odd numbered versions of FileMaker Pro - from v1 to v9.
I remember FileMaker Pro v3 requiring a registration at the end of the installer while my note of my serial (original box and card were 600 miles away) was wrong - I'd transposed 2 characters when writing it down on a stickie to take away with me for a few weeks (to work abroad). At the end of the install, withour successful registration, it deleted itself. Grr. Norton Utilities to the rescue, I managed to salvage all the files and carry on using it. Phew.
But you're right, with the files all back on disk, there was no formal registration required in the app itself. So I ended up never registering it.
Sat next to a senior FileMaker engineer on a business flight once, he told me of all the new cool things that would be in v5 - he saw me still using v3 on my old PBG4. Told him it would need all the functionality of this still relatively unknown product called Oracle if it wanted to take over the world.
Thanks. I've owned several common Claris apps over the years, ClarisWorks, ClarisDraw, FileMaker Pro, BrushStrokes, MacDraw Pro, Home Page. - I guess even HyperCard when Claris owned it for a while. The only one I struck that had anything near requiring an actual key to activate the product was FileMaker Pro version 4 - All the others required zip. That is, They came with the registration field already filled with the term "See registration card" - and if you left it there (even tho' the disks came with a serial #), that sufficed
Crikey! - and I even purchased those progs
Nah, I loved them enough at the time, to do so anyway
Excellent job. I don't know if there was an option to register from within the app at that time. I seem to remember, FileMaker expecially, would install, and the installer would get you to register as the very last step.
Another one for me to watch out for in my eBay searches.
It is the actual program. Someone had registered it by using the name "Demo" - It can create and save documents OK and is fully operational despite its missing files.
Sad to say it is missing the libraries and any other file that may have come with the original, likely there was a FAT binary option or also a 68k binary in the original installer and the user named "Demo" chose the PPC version only to install. Its a pity these were not included in the upload.
If you install a similar vintaged Claris product such as ClarisWorks 4.0 (available at the Garden) you would at least be able to share the spelling dictionaries and translators from that install. You'd still be missing the Libraries and Help files tho'.
Perhaps someone will be able to upload the full installation set to the Garden one day. I hope so; Claris Impact has all the makings of a great Claris product.
This seems to just be the application. Are there any associated help files, translators, or library files? By the way, this is a demo, not the actual program.
