This app works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II,

BeView patches the Mac OS to give it the appearance of the once popular BeOS.

BeView is a small extension that transforms your Mac's user interface to resemble that of the BeOS desktop. BeOS was an operating system that perhaps may have become the successor to the classic Mac OS System Software (instead of NeXT).

Top DL: BeView 1.1
2nd DL: BeViewXtras1.1: Includes a fairly complete set of DR8 icons and a BeBox hand replacement for the Mac arrow.
3rd DL: BeView Screens: 2 StartupScreens + 1 ResEdit resource.

To use BeView, just drop it into your Extensions folder (or drop it onto your System Folder and let the system put it where it belongs), and restart. To disable BeView, move it out of the Extensions folder or disable it with your Extensions Manager.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k PPC

BeView patches your windows, scroll bars, buttons, popup menus, dialog colors, menu colors, Finder icons, and system font.

Will work on 68k and PPC. Might look better in 32 bit colors.

BeView is not compatible with Aaron or Kaleidoscope.

I doubt that the Be inferface was an enhancement to the Mac OS interface. Classic Mac OS is much more beautiful.
