Just Grandma and Me, I´m a fan of that one too.

I was thinking of uploading the apk too, but did not want to deprive the developer of the few clicks he may get on his download pages. Lets hope Lubomyr will find the time to update his Basilisk II build some day soon.

I know, right? I have been scouring the net high and low for some of the amazing software I used to use since System 7 and it all seems to be evaporating everywhere all too quickly.

This build has allowed me to run System 8.1 on all my Android devices, including a Chromebook and using it full screen on it, it purrs like a kitty; it almost makes me feel like I'm on my old Comet again! Laughing out loud

More importantly, it's allowing me to salvage and restore software bits and pieces that we may otherwise never see again, like newer, more compatible version of Just Grandma and Me, a really nice game for kids; a newer DragStrip than the one we've been hosting; Menuette, a fun and useful menubar item replacement, especially on smaller devices like my tiny smartphone screen.

I think that the more people start playing around with the Classic Mac OS on their own devices, the more interest, feedback and support sites like MG can get to save and restore as much of all the amazing software that was available for these lovely old Macs. All of what we do here, on our old Macs and through emulators like this, is literally a time-capsule honoring the insanely great world of true personal computing those tiny black and white-screened Macs gave the rest of us over 30 years ago back in '84.

Good thought, uploading the apk here, cbone. I´m using this BII port occasionally. Wink

A Performa or Quadra 1MB ROM is not that hard to find and a bootable image is here:
