A free, unsupported mail server from Apple. Looks quite impressive on paper. There may be some user generated documentation on the Web, but none from Apple.
You need a username and password to get your mail, but you don't need them to send a message and that bothered me a bit. (This problem didn't appear in MailStop, but that program stopped working for me. "Can't initialize due to a disk related error.") First this was called MailShare and this was an 68K program. Then they made the PPC version and called it Apple Internet Mail Server (AIMS). It has the same functionality, so you can use the documentation from MailShare which is easy to find. Then they renamed it to Eudora Internet Mail Server (EIMS). Version 1.3.1 is free and easy to find.
