Aldus PageMaker 5.0 for Mac is desktop publishing software that allows you to produce a wide range of documents and publications electronically, everything from simple business proposals to sophisticated annual reports and full-length books. Whether you are a business professional or a professional designer, PageMaker gives you everything you need to create good-looking materials that communicate your message clearly and persuasively. You can create page designs, integrate text and graphics from other software programs, edit, and copy, as well as adjust graphics, and add design flourishes, then prepare your documents for final reproduction.
PageMaker was one of the first desktop publishing programs, introduced in 1985 by Aldus Corporation, for the then-new Apple Macintosh. PageMaker relies on Adobe Systems' PostScript page description language, and in 1994 Adobe Systems acquired Aldus and PageMaker.
As an application relying on a graphical user interface, PageMaker helped to popularize the Macintosh platform.

This software seems to be okay. To install the image files, first restart your iMac with all the extensions off. Use disk copy to make disk images of all the files and leave then on your desktop. Then go to disk one and click it. After you enter serial number, it should install. I opened it up after I restarted with the standard extensions on in conflict catcher 9. It shows opentype fonts in the menu, but how how well they work I do not know. I tried the print command and the acrobat distiller 5 opens up, but it has limited options. Still, this is better than nothing. I like this better than Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 because the onscreen page you type in is larger than the one in adobe's version. It's harder to see the fonts on a small page and it's a pain in the butt to have to enlarge your page view each time you use a program. In my humble opinion, Aldus PageMaker rocks!
The entire site machut.valleyofthelights.com is gone.
Ok, now I understand,
Thanks Balrog.
@Euryale: This is a temporary measure done due to high bandwidth costs. It will be changed back once we find a solution to the bandwidth issue.
Why are the Actual files are being changed for a bit torrent file, when this kind of old software is not THAT popular, which makes me think that in case someone wants it, won't find enough seeders to get it ?
..Or Maybe I don't quite understand how torrents really work, excuse me if I'm wrong.
Another versions Pagemaker (1-6) are here: http://machut.valleyofthelights.com (DTP directory).
