"LE" stands for "Limited Edition". It has most of the features that you would find in the full Photoshop of the same version. It will however not be able to output CYMK files. If you don't know what that means or just don't care, then you will find this LE version of Photoshop, Lightweight and speedy. It's a good application to have on board for some quick bitmap photo editing.

Top DL: Contains pre-installed version of Adobe Photoshop 2.5.1 LE. The archive is a Disk Copy image compressed with StuffIt 1.5 to ensure compatibility with old Mac computers.

2nd DL: This is an unmodified application file only, for Adobe Photoshop 2.5.1 LE
Use this file by replacing the user-modified Photoshop application included in the 1st DL above, with this copy. It will allow you to enter your own personalization details.

3rd DL: German localized version. Serial SGG250R3004545-886

Other Adobe Photoshop Versions: 0.63 (pre-Adobe) | 1.0.7 | 1.0.8 LE | 2.0.1 | 2.5.1 | 3.0 & 3.0.5 | 3.0.5 LE | 4.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 LE | 5.5 | 6.0 | 7.0 | 8.0 (CS1) | 9.0 (CS2) | 10.0 (CS3) | 11.0 (CS4)

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

Requires Macintosh 68020 or newer CPU, a Mac OS SSW 6.0.7 or newer. Adobe also recommended SSW 7.0 or later, but it also runs quite well in SSW 6 and on Mini vMac II in 256 colors or better.

With regards to running on Mini vMac II: It is best suited to running under SSW 6 because of the memory restraints of this emulator (currently an 8MB of RAM ceiling). If you do use this with Mini vMac II or an actual Mac II and SSW 7 or later, SSW 7.1.1 will probably be its limit. Photoshop 2.5.1 LE requires at least 5120 KB of available RAM.

Amazing that u have the ability of "virginizing" theses applications. Smile

It's an "or" — a "virginized" copy of your upload, by moi Wink

I'm able to do this with versions 1.x and 2.5 and up... but I cannot with version 2.0.1 hence my desire to get an unmodified copy of that version (full or LE). [Edit] issue re: 2.0.1 since resolved.

Thanks. Just one question for Photoshop. Where have u found the unmodified one u have added ? Is it an original or ??? Wink

@MacTouch: YW, its an easy thing to swap over, but only necessary if one would rather see one's own details in the about this app window Wink

Good luck with your file hunting and uploading. You are correct. It does become difficult to find even recent software if it has gone from general sale and support. Thanks for your efforts, regardless.

@Mike: Thanks for adding an unmodified version of it. Before I compressed the image file, I have converted it with Disk Copy from compressed to Read-Only (uncompressed). Just for using it with Mini vMac at least. I have also tested it with System 6 & Mac OS 9, it just works with the exception that it is greedy with memory as u know. Smile

I will look forward to find the version 2.0.1 in intact condition, as u request, even I know it will not be easy. Of course, for all softwares I can find, I will preserve the unmodified files before uploading it. I will never modify myself important files (at least for Photoshop) before adding it, only the presentation if it is really necessary or expressly requested by u. Wink (It's just a reminder for anyone who doesn't respect that important rule...)

Apart from that, I have finished to rebuild my archives. But some very big files are still missing. Sad Files are dating from 2013 to 2016 & are beginning to be difficult to find, even they are recents. Never mind, I will search for them later... Meanwhile, I will restart to uploading new files here now. Smile

Welcome Mike,

I have copied some infos from other Photoshop 2.5 page. I assume it is correct. But as I believe u are a better Photoshop expert than me, u can modify the page just at your convenience, of course. I have modified some other Photoshop's page as I suppose informations was incorrect. But If I'm wrong, just let me know. Smile
