Acrobat 1.0 was originally released 15 June 1993 for Macintosh, later for DOS and Windows 3.1. This was not available in single copies and was not initially free, with Acrobat Reader originally priced at $50 per user. After a while the IRS purchased a right to distribute Reader 1.0, effectively making it seem free to those who obtained it that way:
This is a 4-disk set of 800k DiskCopy 4.2 images. I found these online at some stage when I was trying to get PDF working on my Classic II with 6.0.8L. Alas, the PDF I wanted to open was too new for this ole 1.0.

@Mike: Nice to know
@Protocol 7: Acro Reader 1.0 is running well in the Mini vMac alpha Mac II emulator too, SSW 6.0.8 and 256 colors - See 3rd screengrab above
Hey Mike. I'll look into another mirror site. I prefer to use these as it gives people a choice of where to get the file from.
I don't get any ads here because I use AdBlock in Firefox so I can never tell if a site is ad-infested or not. Thanks for the heads-up.
@Protocol 7: Thanks for posting this. I think my earliest version is 2.0 and its not orginal media.
Have to say I really dislike using sharebee tho' - ad bombastic
well, they ARE proper DiskCopy 4.2 images.
Thanks! I'm not sure where I found these (KDX or Hotline I think) but Googling around I found where they originally came from. So they're not original copies, but still this is pretty hard to find.
Great upload. I'm thinking that version 1.0 is not too easy to find anymore.
