This app works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II, Mini vMac

This was a popular contact manager for Macintosh, in no small part, because it was data-compatible with DOS and Windows versions of ACT! Under the covers, it used the venerable dBase format for records storage, so its info was accessible to any application that understood ACT's schema.

Somewhat incomprehensibly, this excellent application did not manage to set an industry-wide standard for contact management, and we're still fighting for consistent contact-syncing across devices in 2013. Sometimes, a technically good idea is just not good enough for the market.

You can download v2.8, which was the last version for the mac, here:

Unfortunately, it looks like the third disk image in the archive is corrupted.
